CitySync system for world’s tallest building

The building, which is nearing completion, has 1,200 shops and 16,000 car parking spaces.

CitySync’s system was required to be able to read all the number plates of vehicles in the UAE states, and to be able to differentiate between them.

The 240-lane project was installed by CitySunc partner Bond Communications, of Dubai.

The Carfinder System allows a vehicle number plate to be entered onto any user terminals across the mall, and it will remind the driver where they are parked.

As well as standard security purposes, the system will be used for retail marketing analyses, calculating vehicle flows and average dwell time on site.

Desna Fielding, a CitySync VP and country manager for the region, said: “CitySync was chosen not just for our world beating ANPR technology, but for our ability to deliver a very complex SQL IT solution on time.”
