Global Security Summit 2012: the London event for end users
“Both UBM and IMP recognise that the market is best served by one London-based end user security event, and we’re delighted that UBM has invited us to help make its Global Security Summit the de facto London security event,” explained Graeme Howe, director at IMP Events.
“As the organiser of IFSEC International and with the company being so deeply entrenched in the market,” added Howe, “UBM is very well placed to deliver to the market this much-needed London event and, for the good of the market, we are very happy to help them.”
Borne from a strategic partnership between UBM plc – the organiser of both IFSEC International and FIREX International – and Pro-Activ Publications (publishers of Risk UK), the Global Security Summit will provide an unprecedented opportunity for world-leading security, fire and safety companies to present their technologies, services and solutions directly to senior security end users including security managers and all those responsible for managing the security of their organisation (such as facilities, estate and building managers).
Taking place in London on 10-11 October 2012 at the newly refurbished Olympia Exhibition and Conference Centre, the Global Security Summit is strategically co-located alongside UBM’s built environment exhibitions that already attract over 7,000 end users. Those exhibitions include Total Workplace Management (the facilities management and estates event), Energy Solutions (the UK’s principal exhibition dedicated to energy management and procurement) and the newly launched Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers exhibition and conference.
Helping senior-level end users from across the security and fire industry to meet and do business with the right solutions providers, the Global Security Summit is set to deliver an unrivalled business environment with its pre-qualified meetings service. Offering far greater collaboration opportunities than a traditional exhibition, UBM will match security solutions buyers with sellers and provide personalised itineraries for end users consisting of meetings, thought leadership sessions, educational opportunities and networking.
Transition to a single London event
“As the organiser of the IFSEC Global Security Events in the UK, India, Africa and Saudi Arabia, UBM believes that our industry partnerships and commitment to serving the security market best places us to bring this new event to London,” explained Charlie Cracknell, event director for IFSEC International.
“We’re glad that IMP Events will be assisting us in the transition to a single London event for 2012,” he continued. “Our research has emphatically shown us that London needs and wants an end user-focused event that brings together solutions and education underpinned by a new one-to-one meeting format.”
Backed by the creme de la creme of the security sector, the Global Security Summit enjoys the full support of ASIS International’s UK Chapter, the Association of Security Consultants, the British Security Industry Association, the Fire Protection Association and The Security Institute.
