Peter Poole becomes event manager for IFSEC International, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham May 14-17 2012; Kristan Johnstone becomes international event manager for global IFSEC brands; and Andy Meyer will head up sales on the new Global Security Summit event.
The appointments aim to provide the UK and international-based products with the leadership, expertise and knowledge to continue delivering high level opportunities for the entire market.
IFSEC event director Charlie Cracknell said: “Peter Poole, Kristan Johnstone and Andy Meyer have been instrumental in driving the direction of the Security Portfolio products, and with their combined industry knowledge of 23 years they are well placed to be able to reflect regional market needs and provide the right solutions and focus for these markets.”
Peter Poole
UBM has appointed Peter Poole as event manager for its world leading security exhibition, IFSEC International, to be held at the NEC, Birmingham from 14th – 17th May 2012.
Poole has been with UBM for seven years. Hespent four years with International Firex and most recently managed UK sales on IFSEC International.
He will now be responsible for the global sales strategy as well as evolving the IFSEC International brand around the world through educational content, new product development and launch areas.
Poole spent nearly four years at Faversham House Group, before a brief spell at Quantum Business Media, arriving at UBM in 2005.
He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me. To be the event manager on the UK’s eighth largest exhibition and the world’s largest annual security event is superb. Everyone wants to work with the best brands and IFSEC is certainly that.”
Kristan Johnstone
UBM has appointed Kristan Johnstone as international event manager for its global IFSEC brands, including IFSEC India, IFSEC Arabia, IFSEC West Africa and IFSEC South Africa.
Johnstone joined UBM in late 2005 and has been responsible for international sales and the global network of IFSEC agents.
Andy Meyer
UBM has appointed Andy Meyer to head up the sales on its most recent event launch – Global Security Summit London (www.globalsecurity-summit.com).
Meyer joined UBM in 2000 and has been embedded in the security industry for the majority of his time, following a few years with the Builder Group Portfolio.
