Forming the shape of a palm tree, the island, located off the coast of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Arabian Gulf adds 78 Kms to Dubai’s coastline. It is the world’s biggest artificial island with luxury hotels, exclusive residential beachside villas and apartments, marinas, theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, and sports facilities.
A comprehensive security plan was essential for the developers. 300 Kms of fibre network connects more than 250 cameras to the island’s Command and Control centre. From a centrally located building, the security team survey the islands’ roads and public areas, with operators monitoring 24/7 for any security or road traffic incident.
