State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Senstar welcomes new president and executive director to US operation

James Quick takes on the role of president while Kenneth Ribler is the new executive director.

Quick is described as “an accomplished security professional” who brings a background of more than 18 years in the security industry to the company. For the past seven years, he has served as president/CEO of Optex Inc for its Americas operation.

Prior to this position, Quick was the vice-president responsible for business development at Protection Service Industries (PSI).

Commenting on this new appointment, Brian Rich – president of Senstar Corporation – told SMT Online: “We know that bringing Jim to our team in the US will be a valuable addition. His background and experience in so many aspects of business operations and relationship building with global partners will be of great value to Senstar and help us to grow our Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS) market.”

Security, force protection and counter-terrorism experience

Kenneth Ribler – who has been named executive director with responsibility for Government, commercial and emerging markets – boasts more than 28 years of experience in all facets of security, force protection, counter-terrorism and law enforcement, having worked as director of operations for L-3 Communications and as deputy director for the Electronic Systems Squadron at Hanscom Air Force Base.

Ribler also served overseas as director of security at the 7th Air Force headquarters in Korea, as well as taking on multiple command assignments in the United States and the UK. Ribler is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with ASIS International.

“Ken’s extensive experience in the military and Government sectors will be of significant advantage to Senstar, and will complement Jim Quick’s commercial experience,” said Rich. “We look forward to their collective contribution.”

Senstar Corporation celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2011, and is the recipient of Frost and Sullivan’s Intrusion Detection Company of the Year Award.

The company’s products and technologies are deployed in thousands of sites in more than 80 countries.

Senstar’s broad portfolio of products includes fence-mounted intrusion detection systems (acoustic and vibration), buried sensors for covert security applications (RF-based volumetric sensors), barrier sensors, ground based radar and personal life safety products.
