Bewator offers Shield motion detection technology and, as such, Shield has now fully-developed its ‘remote guarding system’. In essence, this involves equipping the client’s site with a CCTV installation tailored to end user needs. In turn, this is linked via a secure IP connection to the Shield Control Centre in Port Talbot.
Images are recorded in real-time, but the key to the operation is the Control Centre, where operators monitor images on six screens. If unexpected motion is detected, the relevant images instantly come up on one of these monitors. Operators can then take control of the cameras to oversee and investigate the intrusion(s) still further.
