The Parkes Building stands at the heart of the University’s central London campus, providing a home for both existing and planned CISPS courses.
CISPS was founded only last year in partnership with The City of London Police and the British Transport Police (BTP). This partnership has already seen the introduction of a Student Officer Programme for all City of London Police and BTP recruits. The Programme represented a milestone in police training, combining traditional on-the-beat instruction with time spent professionalising students’ learning and development at the University.
To date, over 300 students have left the University with skills that would otherwise have only been within the reach of more experienced investigators. Courses offered include fraud investigation, counter-terrorism and transnational security and high-tech crime investigation.
Further information on CISPS is available online here, and by telephoning The City University’s press officer Louise Scodie on 020 7040 8783.
