The Praesideo PA system designed at Bosch Security Systems has been selected by SDD Sound and Light for use in an extensive project covering three campuses at ACS International Schools in greater London. The digital sound system is being installed to protect 2,400 students from over 70 countries.

For the second season running, Premiership football club Wigan Athletic is using a tailored personal ID system from specialist Payne Security for the effective accreditation of visitors. The IDPro system monitors and accredits matchday stewards and members of the press. Colour-coding and printing is possible with the Magicard Rio2e printers.

Net2 – the network access control solution developed by Paxton Access – has just been installed at the RAF Museum in Hendon. Replacing a master key system, Net2 was installed with card swipe readers initially for eight doors (subsequently extended to 13). There are currently 80 users on the system.

High performance Protec padlocks, cylinders and locks supplied by Abloy Security are being installed on gates, fences and doors across the central networks east region of E.ON. E.ON’s distribution network brings electricity to 4.9 million customers in central England.

A new joint venture is to offer assured response by operators to lone workers who use a time-in-attendance notification package. Orbis Monitoring is to supply the 24/7 emergency response to end users of Panztel’s eziTracker and LoneWorkerCompanion telephone-based services.

Chris Lewis Security Services has installed a bespoke access control system at Oxford Castle which, for the first time in 1,000 years, can now open up its secrets to members of the public. The specialist access system enables staff to monitor and control movement across the various buildings, and to determine those times when doors are locked.
