State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

CNL commits to IFSEC India

Computer Network Limited (CNL), pioneers of integrated situational management software, has announced that they will be joining technology partner, Milestone, at IFSEC India, to showcase their award winning integrated situation management software, IPSecurityCenter.

This is the first time the company will be attending IFSEC India and the company has recently started its first implementation here. It sees IFSEC India as the ideal place to bring its innovative product into this IT savvy and growing physical security market.

IFSEC India 2009 will take place between 29-31 October at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, alongside co-located shows Firex India 2009 – catering the fire protection industry and the launch of Internal Security India that will showcase the latest innovations in security technology.

Leveraging IFSEC

According to Adlan Hussain, marketing manager at CNL, “We have always created a lot of attention at IFSEC in the UK. We have attended using both our own booth, with integrations partners such as IBM and with technology partners including Milestone and Barco. In fact, last year our software was used as the platform to demonstrate the “art of the possible” in the IP Innovation Centre feature.”

Adlan further stated that, “We used this opportunity to integrate technology from leading hardware manufacturers such as Panasonic, GE, Barco, Commend, Honeywell and Lenel, to name a few. The highlight was the complete integration of two incompatible access control systems, from different manufacturers, based on different technology both joint at database level using IPSecurityCenter.”

IPSecurityCenter drives business improvements, by increasing situational awareness, improving response to security threats and delivering real business value with significant return-on-investment. This is achieved by firstly connecting all security applications together through a unified interface, including both legacy systems and new technology.

Secondly, it uses workflow technology to provide operators with guidance and intelligence for situation management. This enforces all policies, increases effectiveness and provides evidence of compliance for auditing and risk mitigation.

India advantage

On India perspective, Adlan said: “Globally we are seeing PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) really start to take flight and it is my belief India will be at the forefront of adopting this enabling technology. It has taken us a while to spread this message in Europe; by comparison the Indian market has been quicker to understand this technology. We have already created a number of strategic relationships with some of the leading system integrators in India, both from the IT and Security sectors and they are all very excited about the opportunities this software will open for them.

“The bulk of this demand for the product is coming from multi site corporations, where compliance is an issue and critical national infrastructure, when security cannot be compromised. Having said that, there are some interesting niche areas where our integration partners have taken us into,” Adlan added.

The company will use this event to demonstrate its integration with Milestone XProtect Corporate, a lead video management system, where it will integrate to GIS mapping and access control. The demonstration will be based around the operator guidance the system provides.

CNL will join around 250 other exhibiting companies and more than 9000 security professional at IFSEC India.
