Axis Launches Q60-S Cameras

Axis has launched three marine-grade, nitrogen-pressurized, stainless steel, PTZ dome network cameras under the Q60-S series—Q6042-S, Q6044-S and Q6045-S. The cameras offer SAE 316L a nylon clear dome cover, and can operate in temperatures of -30 degrees C to 50 degrees C. They have IP66, IP6K9K, NEMA 4X and MIL STD 810G 509.5 approvals, thus ensuring protection from dust, rain, high pressure or steam jet cleaning, snow, ice and salt fog. They also offer a built-in slot for an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card to store recordings.

The Axis Q6042-S provides extended D1 resolution and 36x optical zoom; the Q6044-S offers HDTV 720p and 30x optical zoom, and the Q6045-S HDTV 1080p and 20x optical zoom. While all the cameras support shock detection, the Q6042-S and Q6044-S provide electronic image stabilization which reduces the effect of vibrations from wind or traffic. The Q6044-S supports automatic defog.

The Q6045-S has built-in video analytics such as highlight compensation, fence detector, object counter and entry or exit detection. The suggested retail price for the Q6042-S is $5,499; for the Q6044-S $5,799 and for the Q6045-S $5,999. They carry a 3-year warranty.
