With just two weeks to go until the start of London 2012, security provision for the Olympic and Paralympic Games is – not surprisingly – coming under close scrutiny.
Speaking this morning, Home Secretary Theresa May said: “‘The Government’s overriding priority is to use all resources necessary to deliver a safe and secure Olympic Games. That is what the public and the House would expect. The security operation has been meticulously planned. It will be the largest and most complex security operation in this country since the Second World War.”
