The Security Buying Group has appointed Paul Scott, whose CV features stints with DM, Honeywell and Sensormatic, as technical director.Scott, who has been with the company since 2013, has extensive IP CCTV, network design and integrated security system expertise. Over 25 years he has forged a career in engineering, technical support and product management at some of the industry’s leading names.
“I will continue to help manage our IP CCTV products and services,” says Scott. “This includes training and supporting customers using and deploying Aimetis Video Management Software and Video Analytics.
“We offer system design, pre-configuration and commissioning services both off-site and in-situ. With server based solutions, like Aimetis, we provide storage calculations for standard, RAID 5 and RAID 1 configuration; network bandwidth calculations for cameras and storage; server specifications for operating Aimetis as a VMS and with analytics; and client PC options for viewing and control.
