The Evolution range of analogue addressable and conventional detectors from Nittan now feature, a new IP55 rated detector mounting base and matching mounting box, designed to protect against water damage found in harsh environments. The box has entry points suitable for 2 x 20mm cable glands and a rubber seal at the base to stop water entering.
Evolution uses ASIC technology and detection algorithms to detect fire and omit false alarms. The protocol used by the system is said to be resistant to noise, while allowing for substantial amounts of information to be transmitted at high speed.
