ADI Global Distribution and Overland sign supplier agreement

Designed to store large quantities of high quality images and video from digital CCTV cameras, Overland Storage Snap Server products can help mid-range and distributed enterprises ensure that data is constantly protected and readily available.

The range is also designed to help improve data recovery speed, simplify short and long-term data retention, and make cost-effective disaster recovery a reality.

“Simple to both install and maintain, the range can be networked with almost any IP camera and is especially suitable for use with Mobotix CCTV products,” a statement said.

“With its comprehensive disc storage capacity, the Snap Server range is able to cope with the demands of the latest 3-megapixel CCTV equipment, which can necessitate large volumes of data transfer.”

Ray Ashby, product manager for IP at ADI Global Distribution, said: “This new agreement comes at an ideal time, with increasingly higher resolutions achievable with current technologies.

“This new agreement with Overland will help us meet the resulting demand for better data storage.”

David Spate, EMEA sales and marketing director at Overland Storage, said: “We are excited about the new distribution agreement with ADI and look forward to supplying the storage requirements created in the IP video surveillance market as a result of advancing technologies.”
