AMAG joins Panasonic developer network
Michael Maddox, PSDN program manager at Panasonic, explained that the PSDN program aims to offer its participants access to development tools, technical information and protocols to aid the development of integrated and interoperable system solutions.
Maddox added: “The trend towards integrated systems operating on a networked platform requires the cooperation of companies with differing core expertise to work more closely together, in order to provide users with more efficient security solutions.”
Panasonic identified AMAG’s Symmetry Video Management System as offering a comprehensive feature set to accompany its i-Pro IP cameras.
“Customers will find this a powerful integration solution that provides leading edge technology on both fronts – access control and video,” said AMAG Technology President Bob Sawyer.
“The PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology from Panasonic is scalable, cost-efficient, and saves time, while their imaging expertise provides the precise, high resolution images that customers demand.”
The Symmetry Video smart software is based on open platform technology and allows the integration of Panasonic’s i-Pro cameras, as well as building and intrusion systems, with AMAG’s innovative access control system. It claims to be able to allow the migration from analog to digital at a managed pace.
