ASFP Launches Risk Assessment App
The Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is giving people the chance to download a beta version of a new fire risk assessment app for Android, firesafetyfile.
The app, launched at FIREX International, is designed to guide the user through onsite inspections of passive fire protection on a smartphone or tablet. There is a guide to what to inspect, checklists, and the ability to add notes and images supporting the audit trail when reviewing an inspection.
Users can then export the reports in Excel or PDF format. As firesafetyfile is currently only available in beta for Android, it’s free to download. Visit the ASFP website to request access to the beta app.
If you don’t have access to an Android device, you can find the written version of the ASFP’s latest guide to inspecting passive fire protection here.
