Hartley’s Confectioners, a small bakery in Huddersfield, has chosen Detectomat’s RCP 6B wire-free detection system, when a visit from the local fire authority required them to replace, rather than repair or extend, their existing system.
The bakery opted for a wire-free system to help avoid the greater disruption and mess that would be likely to occur with the installation of a hard wired one, an important consideration for a food preparation business which operates from early morning, seven days a week.
The Detectomat RCP 6B system, supplied and installed by Firetec Systems, includes optical smoke detectors with integral sounders, break-glass call points and heat detectors. The system can be programmed and installed within three hours and does not require the installation of separate sounder circuits.
