Betatech joins Ademco
Products such as the VideoBloX, with a capability of 4,000-plus inputs and 256 outputs will now be sold under the Ademco Video brand and distributed exclusively by VCL. Despite its capability, the VideoBlox is often used in applications of less than 100 camera inputs. Co-founders Alan Armstrong (pictured) and Peter Stein will re-locate to VCL’s Runcorn HQ and will also become directors of VCL, but the factory in South Africa will continue as the manufacturing base. Betatech produces 400 to 500 matrix switching and control systems per year.
