Bosch enhances Divar XF DVRs
Bosch Security Systems has introduced a new firmware release for its Divar XF DVRs which means that images taken from scenes including fast-moving objects are even clearer than before.
“The use of H.264, the new standard in video compression, offers the perfect tool to place even more focus on image quality,” said Bosch’s digital recording products manager Vincent Bos in conversation with SMT Online, “with the additional benefit that H.264 requires less bandwidth and, subsequently, less storage.”
In addition to the considerable image quality improvements, the new Divar XF Firmware offers improved operation through low bandwidth networks, runs more smoothly on low performance PCs and boasts optimised support for Windows Vista.
The Divar XF is intended primarily for medium-to-large-scale or growing surveillance systems in, for example, shopping centres, banks and financial institutions, city centres, casinos and hotel complexes.
The Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technology and services, comprising Robert Bosch GmbH and more than 300 subsidiaries and regional companies spread across 50 countries. Additional information can be accessed by clicking on the dedicated web link on the right hand panel of this page.
