Bosch fire system installed at BMW HQ
The installation – by fellow German company Bosch Security Systems – is part of a refurbishment programme that includes an upgrade of the building’s heating, ventilation and security systems.
Over 500 Bosch smoke detectors were installed throughout the distinctive Vierzylinder building, which was built to resemble a four-cylinder engine.
Bosch said they were chosen because of their high reliability, performance and physical design. Flush-mounted in the building’s ceilings and colour-matched to suit specific areas, they are virtually invisible.
The detectors use a virtual measuring chamber and include a gas sensor for detecting carbon monoxide.
The installation should decrease the likelihood of false alarms.
