BSIA launches new Section on Close Protection
Speaking about the decision, the Association’s technical and membership services director Alex Carmichael told SMT: “Close protection has become a key sector within our industry in recent years due to extensive investment in training and professional standards, not to mention the introduction of licensing. The BSIA is already involved in the creation of a new British Standard for the sector as some of our existing security guarding members also undertake close protection services.”
Now, the BSIA wants to attract close protection firms such that they can benefit from the key relationships the Association enjoys with Government, the police service, standards-forming bodies and, of course, the Regulator.
