BSIA welcomes Trevor Elliott as director of Manpower and Membership Services
Elliott’s role at the Trade Association has been newly created to provide director-level support in continuing the development and promotion of manpower-based sections of membership, comprising Security Guarding, Close Protection, Crowd Management and Leisure Industry Security.
One of the key issues facing these sections of membership at present is the future of industry regulation, and Elliott willnow work closely with Government and the Security Industry Authority to help shape a new regulatory regime in the interests of BSIA members.
Elliott will also have a number of operational responsibilities at Kirkham House and, as such, will directly manage a number of BSIA staff engaged in membership services.
Expertise and successful track record
Elliott’s expertise and successful track record in the security sector will be particularly beneficial to the BSIA. Most recently, he worked for Reliance Secure Task Management and Reliance Security Services, where he held a number of senior positions having joining the Reliance Security Group back in 1997.
Prior to this, and following a decade of service in the Forces, Elliott spent a further eight years in the security guarding arena and also worked for Dyno-Rod in the area of Contact Centre Management.
Commenting on this appointment, the BSIA’s CEO James Kelly said: “We welcome Trevor to the BSIA, where his operational expertise will provide essential support to our members. I’m confident that his experience will be of particular benefit, both to the Association and the industry as a whole, as we face multiple challenges over the coming years.”
With such a broad-ranging role and a wide scope of responsibility, Elliott is eager to begin work this morning.
“I’m looking forward to the new challenge of working for the BSIA in what is such a diverse and ever-changing industry.”
