MD Jonathan Wakerley stated the Cambridgeshire-based company 14 years ago as an installation business, but it has since branched out into intruder, CCTV, access and fire alarm systems as well as guarding.
Announcing their decision, the judges said: “BusinessWatch demonstrated commitment and drive as well as foresight in strategy, business development and their people. They had to beat off some very tough competitors and therefore should be very proud of their achievement.”
Wakerley said he was ‘shell shocked’ at the award adding: “I started the company before I left school having no idea how big it could become.
“I’ve built up a brilliant team around me and the award is a result of the hard work, dedication and vision of everyone involved.”
