Cameras in the dock
The company has installed the latest EnviroDome cameras from Bosch Security Systems at the attraction – the most visited multi-user attraction outside of London, with more than four million visitors each year.
Security at the UNESCO World Heritage site is a high priority.
Skelmersdale-based UIS in partnership with CB Richard Ellis, managing agents for The Albert Dock, has continually reviewed and enhanced the CCTV technology and it has been commended by Merseyside Police as the best installation in the City.
The new work comprises of a 14-camera installation and 32-way matrix system.
Said operations director Mark Ashall: “We had to bear in mind that this is a World Heritage Site and the buildings are Grade I listed, so we had to take into account the management 1s concerns about aesthetics.
“Of equal importance was the issue of reliability. We want cameras that need only the minimum of maintenance, and know that they won 1t fail when they are needed most.”
EnviroDomes have AutoTrack motion tracking capability.
