Speaking exclusively to SMT about the venture, Clarke said: “SAFE is a totally new concept, focusing on broadening the skills of security staff in order that they can then take on a wider range of facilities-based roles. We’re extremely confident that SAFE will be particularly popular with in-house security and facilities teams, as well as security and facilities-based companies who want to offer their clients more services.”
Clarke – who will work for the company on a part-time basis, taking responsibility for its strategic development – added: “We’ve thought long and hard about the positioning of SAFE. It’s our intention to offer a quality product, recruiting the best trainers and working with a network of high profile delivery partners to provide a flexible service to our customers.”
