Corps teams with Avigilon to offer HD surveillance
The agreement forms part of Corps Security’s commitment to only working with Best in Class vendors and will allow its customers to benefit from Avigilon’s innovative technology.
Avigilon’s HD Network Video Management Software (NVMS) and megapixel cameras deliver superior image quality and maximum coverage. The components can work together in an end-to-end solution or with existing systems to enhance their current capabilities.
Fully scalable, it can be configured to suit a customer’s specific requirements in a wide variety of applications – from retail environments and local authorities through to educational establishments and sports stadia.
Corps Security will now integrate Avigilon NVMS into its state-of-the art Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC), which is based in Glasgow.
The CMC provides third party alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring services to a wide range of customers across many market sectors. Having been recently developed at a cost of GB pound 1.5 million, it’s widely acknowledged as one of the leading facilities of its kind in the UK.
Image quality of paramount importance
One major advantage of the Avigilon Control Center NVMS is the quality of the images it transmits.
Keith Marett, Avigilon’s director of marketing and communications, explained: “Avigilon Control Center has been built from the ground up to effectively capture, manage and store HD multi-megapixel surveillance video with minimal bandwidth requirements. This means Corps Security can now easily and rapidly search the highest quality images so they can realise the best evidence for their customers.”
The reciprocal arrangement between the two organisations means that Corps Security will promote Avigilon’s systems via its approved installer and end user databases. At the same time, Avigilon will recommend the CMC to any of its customers that require a remote monitoring service.
New customer introduction
One new customer that Avigilon has already introduced to the CMC is London-based security specialist iC2, a provider of electronic security solutions across a diverse range of sectors both nationally and internationally.
For over ten years iC2 has enjoyed an enviable reputation for innovation and customer satisfaction, and only works with partners that operate at the cutting edge of what they do.
When iC2 enquired about remote monitoring services, Avigilon invited Daniel Collins, iC2’s technical director, to Glasgow to see the CMC. What he saw there thoroughly impressed him.
“Over the years I have seen many remote monitoring centres and most leave a great deal to be desired,” stated Collins. “However, the CMC is different as not only does it use the best technology on the market, it’s also the smartest and most well presented facility that I’ve ever seen.”
The partnership is already working well for both companies and Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director, is highly enthusiastic about the future.
“We are extremely excited about the possibilities that working with Avigilon offers both companies. Avigilon’s range of products is suitable for organisations that are serious about detecting, monitoring and prosecuting those who commit crime. Having already talked to our installer partners about this technology, the response has been overwhelmingly positive.’
