Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Challenge, for which more than 4,000 people registered, this year’s set of competitions aims to attract an even bigger audience and offer more career-enhancing opportunities to successful candidates.

Eight top level (platinum plus and platinum) sponsors have already been confirmed for the second year of the Challenge and more are expected to come on board in the coming months.
Tellingly seven of these not only supported last year’s programme and saw real benefit from being part of this unique initiative, but have subsequently increased their level of support for this year. Many more valued gold and silver sponsors are also already committed.
A list of these can be found on the Challenge website. The growth in sponsor numbers is also expected to swell the collection of prizes available to winners.
The formal opening of the Challenge also marks the launch of the new Cyber Security Challenge UK website designed by Challenge sponsor, Ultimate.
Judy Baker, director of the Cyber Security Challenge, sees this as a significant step to improving the way people access the Challenge competitions and the information provided by the Challenge about career paths in cyber security.
“We have received many questions seeking information and lots of feedback on last year’s registration process,” she said.
“We have taken this all on board and our new site is now ready for candidates to register for this year’s competitions. In time, it will also provide more information about how to get onto the first step of the ladder leading to a career in cyber security.”
