Dallmeier helps to safeguard bank transactions

When it comes to retail banks and building societies, reliable surveillance systems are indispensable. Robberies, burglaries, ATM fraud and vandalism all require as swift a response as possible. Very often, video recordings are the only way to trace the perpetrators.

Dallmeier’s ‘bank’ recorder range comprises compact digital recording models with certifications, system parameters and specifically designed software that make them ideal for financial applications. The bank recorders are highly stable and reliable devices, characterised by – according to the developer – outstanding image quality and high operator convenience.

All recorders come with integrated UTC capability. This allows for the convenient configuration of cameras via the recorder interface, even during ongoing business. That function is also available remotely via a network. Additionally, the recorder configuration offers the possibility to create privacy zones within the image to mask out certain sections or obscure them (for example, number pads for PINs).

Models for any requirements

The ‘bank’ recorder range consists of the DLS 4 Bank as well as the ‘In Memory of Leonardo’ range featuring the DMS 80 Bank, DMS 160 Bank, DMS 240 Bank and DMS 240 HSR Bank. Therefore, an ideally suited model can be chosen for every application according to individual requirements, for example, the number of camera inputs or the desired storage capacity.

The BG test certificate UVV-Kassen guarantees the high quality standard of the digital recording devices required for use in financial and credit institutions. Moreover, all bank recorders are Kalagate certificated, meaning that the recorded images may be admitted as evidence in Court.

ATM activity survey

A special feature of the bank recorders is the ATM activity survey. This function enables the recorder to check regularly if transactions take place at the ATM.

As a customer uses the ATM recording is triggered, and so if no transactions take place during a user-defined interval the recorder issues a notification to this effect. This avoids an accidental recording failure passing by unnoticed.

Although rare, such failures can occur due to changes of ATM protocols. The ATM activity survey ensures that no important data ever need go missing.

Optimum integration

The various configuration variants of the bank-specific software allow for an optimal configuration of the recorder for various applications in the cashier’s office, the bank vault and the foyer. The integration of external data, for example from ATMs, cash tills or access control systems is an available option via the Dallmeier Network Interface (DNI) and can be easily achieved.

Additionally, the SEDOR technology provides further security through automatic camera sabotage detection (focus change, turning, covering, spraying).
