Deliberate bus depot fire causes £100k damage
At least £100,000 of damage was caused to a bus depot in a deliberate fire on Sunday.
The blaze, in Greenock, Invercylde, broke out early on Sunday morning and destroyed a 49-seat coach and a 16-seat minibus, as well as causing some damage to a third bus.
Two appliances from Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service attended the fire and were able to prevent it from spreading further.
Speaking to the Greenock Telegraph, DC Sharon Crawford said: "The damage is in the region of £100,000 and enquiries are continuing into the cause of the fire, although it is being treated as deliberate."
