DigiNet v2 launched by IP Alarms

The new version of the stand-alone device is being manufactured in Texas and will be available in the UK by the end of July, once the company have fulfilled their American orders.

DigiNet can be interfaced to any alarm panel to facilitate alarm signal transmission over the Internet. Using a standard broadband or cable connection, IP Alarms see it as a cost-effective option.

Bob Sherwood, the company’s Production Manager explains the changes, “The DigiNet was scheduled for release on the 1st of June with support for only DTMF formats, however, one of our larger customers expressed a pressing need to support Pulse formats. We are very proud that our team was able to pull together and implement the changes and only delay the release of the board by one month.”

Steve Nutt, the UK Director said, “The extended format features of the board may not be widely used in the UK since the six alarm inputs allow the DigiNet to connect to the digicom outputs available in most panels and meet police requirements for confirmed alarms.”

Nutt also added that the company will be announcing a technology partnership with their first UK Monitoring Centre expected in the near future. He said that “agreements have been signed and testing is well under way”.
