Distributor looks to Samsung Techwin
HB Litherland is one of the UK’s leading wholesalers of electronic products and has a warehouse that covers 42,000sq ft, housing millions of pounds of high value products from a large number of well known manufacturers.
It supplies a range of consumer and professional products, including CCTV equipment from a dedicated security division, to over 25,000 clients across the UK.
“We wanted to get the very best out of our investment in CCTV and by purchasing a complete solution from one manufacturer we felt we would avoid potential compatibility issues which might affect the overall performance of the system,” said Tony Lord, CCTV technical manager for HB Litherland.
“We recommend Samsung Techwin CCTV products everyday of the week to our customers and have always had positive feedback on the performance and quality of the equipment. It was therefore a logical and easy decision for us to use Samsung Techwin cameras throughout our facility and to record the images captured by the cameras on a Samsung Techwin digital video recorder.”
Fifteen Samsung Techwin cameras collectively monitor all activity at HB Litherland’s reception, trade counter, goods in/out and warehouse aisles. The recorded video is stored on a Samsung Techwin SVR-1680 sixteen channel DVR which has the capability to record real-time D1 resolution images simultaneously across all channels.
“We worked closely with Samsung Techwin to ensure that we selected the right camera model for each location and this has resulted in us having a CCTV system which ensures that if there ever is an incident, we will be able to pass first class video evidence onto the Police,” Lord said.
