DVRs ‘give more storage space’
Available in 4, 8 and 16-channels, the HRSD Systems Series embedded DVRs use Honeywell’s XtraStor compression.
Aimed at multiple markets such as retail financial and education, the units offer local and remote operation. Users can transfer video evidence files with a ‘clip-copy’ function that allows video, audio and text to be burned onto common media such as USB memory sticks.
Units are accessed over a digital network using software that can simultaneously view live or stored video from up to 16 DVRs. Users can configure and download software updates remotely, saving time and money by eliminating the need for separate site visits.
The new series can operate with SmartPIT, a device that relays data from point-of-sale and ATM systems. This search tool can help loss prevention managers identify sources of internal theft at retail outlets. Security investigators can also use the technology to investigate fraudulent ATM transaction claims.
