Effort commended

The annual Challenge, which is open to anyone currently undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship scheme, is to install an Intruder Alarm System in one and a half hours, incorporating remote signalling, and in compliance with BS 4737 and DD243.
The competition took place during the annual IFSEC exhibition and was judged over four days by inspectors from the NSI, SSAIB and SITO.
Competition sponsor, BT Redcare, commented on the impressive standard of work carried out by apprentices during the challenge and commended them for their skill, effort and enthusiasm.
The first prize was awarded to James Hughes from Birmingham Alarm Technicians and Ricky Brown from Select Alarm Systems, who won a Red Letter activity day worth GB pound 500 each.
The second prize was awarded to Antony Shah and Nick Miladinovic from Kings Security, third prize went to Ashley Gray and James Redgrave from Essex Security Systems and the fourth prize was presented to Steven Bunby and Daniel Verity from GCD Security.
