EMS are claiming to have launched the ‘UK’s first ever BS5839 phone app’, for Android smartphones.
The app is designed to give fire systems designers and installers on-the-go access to EMS’ interpretation the engineering British Standard for fire systems.
The app also includes additional information and guidance on the reduction of false alarms and assistance in identifying IP ratings.
EMS stress that the app is designed as pocket guide, and that and person working with fire alarm systems should be familiar with the full BS5839.
You can download it now for Android devices here. An iPhone version is due to be released later in the year.
