Vicon has launched the latest version of its digital IP-based video management software platform, ViconNet version 4, which includes a Virtual Matrix capability. Vicon says this “changes the way video can be controlled on an IP video or DVR system”.

Combined with the KRX-3 video decoder, the ViconNet system is transformed to simulate crosspoint matrix functionality. Users can route any live network video stream to any analogue monitor in their control centre, and instantly playback video when required.
