Now into their eighth year, the awards are being held on Wednesday 25 June, the middle night of the re-launched Retail Solutions Exhibition (which takes place at London’s Excel Exhibition Centre from 24-26 June). The gala evening is to be held at the Old Billingsgate Market.
In addition to the new venue, the European Retail Solutions Awards is bolstered by additions to the Judging Panel, with representatives joining from Harrods, El Corte Ingles and Staples. There are also many new awards categories, including Best Green IT Initiative, Most Innovative Retailer of the Year and Best Multi-Channel Integration.
Last year’s winners included Retail IT Professional of the Year Roy Ford, the IT controller at Spar. The European Retail Technology Solution of the Year Award was won by the Celebrations Group with Toshiba and Itim for an EPoS implementation. Boots won out in the Supply Chain Excellence Award alongside JDA Software for JDA Intactix, and the Supplier of the Year trophy went to Fujitsu Services.
