NASDAQ-listed, Foundry Networks are performance and total solutions providers for end-to-end switching and routing, and have an extensive track record in the defence, criminal justice and homeland security markets.
Mr Smith will be hoping to build Foundry’s presence in these sectors which includes, among others, the armed forces, probation services, emergency services and intelligence agencies.
A significant portion of Foundry’s revenue is generated from US Federal government sales including the Department of Defence, Intelligence Agencies and local civilian government. Foundry’s technology is used at some of the largest US Air Force bases in Europe.
Commenting on why he joined the company, Mathew Smith said,
