The application sends an audible alert to all connected IP phones. Alerts can be sent out, for example, to all connected retailers if known shoplifters are circulating around a retail centre, if a fire alarms goes off, or if an emergency exit is breached. It can also provide rapid, automated one-to-many communication between retail centre management and individual retailers.

Telecom provider Alcatel has been working with Freedom on the development.
