Genie launches PTZ mini dome

High resolution images of 540 TVL are captured using a 1/4-inch Sony Super HAD CCD and a removable IR cut-filter that captures night-time pictures in high definition monochrome.

A high quality 10x optical zoom lens (3.8-38mm) provides clear details and is controlled remotely via RS485. The unit is only 115mm in diameter.

Genie says the new mini PTZ offers high accuracy with its ‘Micro-stepping’ control technology for smooth operation. In addition, its 360 degree endless pan, tilt and zoom functions have 127 programmable preset positions and variable movement speed for fast image capture in any direction. The GSD-5451 has motion detection and pre and post alarm recording capability, and can send an email when an alarm triggers.

Low light performance

For indoor dark environments and night-time surveillance, the GSD-5451 is capable of capturing images in extremely low light situations. In addition, the mechanical IR cut-filter has a night function that allows the filter to be automatically positioned for infrared imaging, making the camera sensitive enough to shoot in just 0.002 lux of ambient light.

The mini PTZ offers privacy masking of up to four programmable zones that shields selected areas from intrusive monitoring. It can be mounted either as a flush or surface installation and additionally an optional wall mount bracket is available. A Genie keyboard controller, the KB-5451, is also available. It can control a wide range of cameras and the GSD-5451 offering multi protocols, 2 x RS485 ports, and eight different variable speed functions for control.
