Hand held thermal camera fights night crime
Tacsight SE 35 enables the user to detect a person from a distance of more than 650 meters and a vehicle from about 1300 meters.
This lightweight camera enables rescue forces and law enforcement to conduct night time perimeter surveillance of sensitive sites, “including national borders, pipelines, oil terminals, power stations, communication transmitters and prisons,” says the company.
It detects minute differences in temperature, distinguishing people from their immediate surroundings, and is said to be distinct from conventional night vision equipment, which requires light or special illuminators that can be incapacitated by atmospheric dust particles and smoke.
An optional RF link is available to transmit images.
