Identity verification specialist TSSI has completed the latest phase of the NHS’ Occupational Health Smart Card (OHSC) scheme, which manages the secure recording of occupational health and personnel information for over 35,000 junior NHS doctors.

Information stored on a smart card and carried by each doctor can be accessed by authorised Occupational Health and Human Resources personnel.

Using the secure internal NHSNet to store and transfer data, a doctor’s clearance for dealing with patients is almost instant.
