State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Hybrid alarm system

End users should note that the Europlex SigNET range can be expanded up to 512 zones. Indeed, for larger applications the SigNET system components may be mixed and matched to expand both the wired and wireless zones. This is said to offer unrivalled flexibility in terms of cost-effective design and efficient installation with minimal wiring.

All panels support “true” system partitioning, enabling multi-area and multi-tenant applications. Multi-tenant systems have the capability to report multiple URNs to central stations and enable private (SMS) notification to specific users. For added security, access to the web server is also partitioned with authentication for each tenant.

All of the controllers in the range are designed in conjunction with the new European Standard EN 50131, allowing installations to fully comply.

The SigNET range of controllers supports Home Automation using the X10 Protocol. The X10 Protocol allows communication across the mains wiring, preventing the need to add additional wiring to control devices. An X10 controller (3780) can be installed within the SigNET allowing X10 devices to be controlled directly from the SigNET (in turn removing the need for additional controllers and interfaces).

The SigNET can trigger any of the X10 devices to turn on or off to a related event. This allows the security system to control different outputs depending upon what has been triggered. Each X10 device can have multiple triggers and the system supports up to 1,000 triggers across all the X10 devices. Ten devices can also be controlled directly from a single system keypad.
