I4S video: IFSEC Centre Stage 2012 – Chris Carter Brennan (WebWayOne)

Chris Carter Brennan (commercial director at WebWayOne) will be speaking alongside O2 Telefinica’s Gilli Coston on Thursday 17 May between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm. As part of the Centre Stage education programme in Hall 5 at the NEC, Chris will examine the principles of communications for alarm transmission and focus on several areas:

  • How do single path failures and unconfirmed alarms create risk for first responders.
  • Separate networks do not exist for PSTN, ISDN, ADSL and wireless services
  • Securing the transmission
  • Access, transport and delivery methods for data
  • Transmission over public/private networks
  • Why the detection of catastrophic failure is important to the police, security officers and all first responders
  • EN standards
  • Why ATS5 is the secure choice
  • European Standard – local implementation (EN, one size doesn’t fit everyone)
  • three questions you need to ask to always specify ATS5

Zooming in on ‘The WebWay solution’, Chris is also set to examine how technology will bring better service and confirmation to the end user, installer and the Alarm Receiving Centre.

O2 Telefonica’s M2M division md Gilli Coston, meanwhile, reviews GPRS service provisioning, network security and reliability and how her company works in partnership with WebWayOne.
