IFSEC Future of Security Competition: 2020 Imaging update 4
August was an exciting month for 2020 Imaging. The momentum and interest generated at IFSEC 2011 started to pay dividends and business leads were converted into real opportunities .
The central monitoring station in Mumbai was completed with TuchControl and 2020 analytics, and is now running smoothly and is an integral part of the surveillance solution monitoring thousands of cameras and sensors.
We hope to build on this first installation in India with further sales in the SaaS sector and use the site as a test bed for new sales to Mumbai Police and railways and the Government services who have expressed an interest in the 2020 Solution.
The pilot in the UAE has unfortunately been delayed by Ramadan and Eid but is fully expected to go live by the end of September.
The Ministry have included TuchControl in their “best of breed” program and after the Eid holidays we anticipate some initial orders plus some consultancy work in defining the “next generation” control room solution for the security forces.
We have also been invited to present to the Government Agencies at the end of September an overview and future security roadmap.
Big oil approach
A new development this month is the approach by an international oil company to develop bespoke security solutions for their asset management .
The new 2020 Airwatch algorithm (see video below) has attracted the interest of a company in the US who is interested in working with 2020 to enter into the Department of Homeland Security initiative for vehicle tracking for border control initiatives.
In September a 2020 delegation will be travelling to Washington to present the solution to integrate with planes/helicopters and UAVs.
From the 13th-16th September we will be exhibiting at the DSEI conference at EXCEL on the Lockheed Martin stand .
We will also be demonstrating to a very high level Indian delegation in mid-September as a result of a UK government invitation. This is in connection with one of the largest and most high profile deployments for counter-terror systems in India.
We have been chosen as a UK finalist in the SME category of the Global Security Challenge competition which will be held in London at the end of September.
The company is pitted against a number of much larger entrants. We hope we can repeat the success of last May!
