Improved CCTV standard

The new certification against BS 5979:2000 replaces 5979:1993.

It includes:
Monitoring of detector-activated CCTV and other CCTV systems in security.
Monitoring of non-detector activated CCTV security systems.
Monitoring of non-security CCTV.
ARCs monitoring fire alarms and CCTV will have to have an ISO 9002 system in place before the fire alarm monitoring recognition is granted.
All other ARCs are allowed two years to achieve ISO 9002 quality management.
