Industry leaders to sponsor IFSEC
Now in its 36th year, the internationally-renowned event runs at the NEC, Birmingham from 11-14 May and enjoys the full commitment of major industry bodies including The Security Institute and the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).
ASSA Abloy – now a confirmed sponsor of one of the IFSEC entrance halls – believes that IFSEC offers the perfect platform for launching new products and services into the security market.
Tina Ainsworth – the head of marketing at Adams Rite Europe, an ASSA Abloy Group company – told SMT Online: “IFSEC 2009 is an excellent platform for ASSA Abloy to highlight its capabilities as a leading access control solutions provider, and to launch some exciting new technologies. The show also enables us to bring together Abloy (UK), Assa, Adams Rite, Mul-T-Lock, Powershield and Safeguard at one event to showcase all of the very latest products for the access control and physical security markets.”
Importance of security education
Cisco – the leading supplier of networking equipment and network management for the Internet – fully recognises the importance of the educational aspect of the event to the security market and, as a result, will be sponsoring the seminar theatre.
“Over the last 35 years,” said the company, “IFSEC has played an increasingly vital role in the security industry, and is recognised as a leading event for security professionals. Given the educational content provided by security organisations and professionals worldwide, we’re proud to sponsor the seminar theatre that will host invaluable industry and product updates.”
Ideal platform to showcase products and services
Hikvision regards IFSEC as the perfect place to exhibit its innovations of the past 12 months. Tony Yang – the company’s international marketing director of Hikvision digital technology – remarked: “Hikvision is pleased to actively participate at IFSEC 2009. It’s an ideal platform, as it allows us to demonstrate our latest products and services to over 30,000 industry professionals. We are delighted to be sponsoring one of the entrance halls, and we’re very much looking forward to the event.”
Major companies in attendance
IFSEC 2009 will contain more features and educational content than ever before. It’s hardly surprising, then, that more than 500 market leading companies have already confirmed their presence. Those companies include: Panasonic, Samsung, JVC, IndigoVision, HID, Dallmeier, Axis, BAE Systems, Sony and many, many more.
There will also be a high-level, three-day conference programme running from Monday 11 through to Wednesday 13 May and covering the most cutting-edge issues for the security industry.
Developments in the global security sector
Speaking about the show, James Blue – the director of UBM Live’s Fire and Security Portfolio, organiser of IFSEC – said: “We’re delighted to be working with such high profile names within the security market to deliver another fantastic event. The commitment of these industry-renowned companies is yet another example of the importance IFSEC has in the security industry.”
Blue added: “We pride ourselves on IFSEC providing professionals with a platform to keep up-to-date with the ever-changing developments within the global security industry. It’s undoubtedly an event that facilitates business and delivers real results, bringing exhibitors together with a high quantity of quality leads and branding opportunities.”
