Insulation support for luminaires
[
Scolmore International’s Flameguard insulation support box provides a quick and simple method of maintaining insulation levels in a ceiling void or attic, and ensures free flow of air around recessed luminaries. It is said to be compliant with building regulations that relate to thermal and acoustic insulation and fire protection, and it ensures that luminaries do not overheat.
Designed as either a standalone product or for use with other Flameguard products, the box provides a rigid skin to lay the installation over. It is installed in a semi-permanent fashion and accommodates transformers that are used in low voltage installations.
The insulation support box is available in two sizes: with fixing centres at 400 or 600mm. The construction supports weights up to 100kg without any distortion.
Complementing the box are Scolmore’s Flameguard luminaries which incorporate fire-retardant seals, acoustic barriers and provide a full, 90 minute fire rating, without the requirement of additional components.
