Intrepid’s EntryGuard keeps alarms simple

EntryGuard, which is battery operated, is designed to be quickly and easily fitted in an unattended area.

When the EntryGuard base unit detects that someone has entered a protected area, it triggers an alarm in a matching portable sounder.

The range between the base unit and the sounder can be up to 30 metres line of sight although EntryGuard will also operate through most walls and partitioning over lesser distances.

Selectable channels allow up to three pairs of units to be used at the same location.

EntryGuard is suitable for environments such as doctor’s surgeries, computer rooms and libraries although, according to Noel Verbruggen, managing director of Hounslow-based Intrepid Security, the retail sector is likely to have many more uses for it.

“Retail staff are trained to be vigilant but the priority is for them to be on the shop floor concentrating on providing customer support,” he said.

“EntryGuard acts as an additional member of staff, providing a low cost solution where there is a need to know if someone is entering a restricted area and where CCTV is not an option.”

EntryGuard is guaranteed for 12 months and is supplied with batteries and fittings.
