KeyPlus offers free alarm response service

The company, a small husband and wife business founded in November 2007, has been awarded *ACS, **IIP and ***SAFE Contractor status after only six months trading. The team, who intend to conquer the North East market, are confident that offering their alarm response service for free will convince users of the need for a professional key-holder.

The deal includes one free response as a trial, with discounts offered to clients who agree to take up the KeyPlus service.

“This will undoubtedly give potential clients a feel for how the service works along with showing that retaining company employed key holders is unnecessary, unjustified and potentially dangerous,” said Brian Curran, managing director of KeyPlus.

“The question of outsourcing a company’s key holding role to a professionally accredited security company should be such a simple decision to make yet many baulk at paying a modest GB pound 1 per day.”

He continued: “Companies routinely monitor Health & Safety within the workplace but they also need to recognise that using in-house key holders (usually key members of staff) to attend alarm activations alone, at night and to expect them to enter into a potentially dangerous situation is a ridiculous burden of responsibility. I truly hope that the introduction of the Corporate Manslaughter Act 2008 will force companies to re-think their current procedures.”
