London 2012 seeks anti-counterfeiting technology supplier

The London 2012 Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has asked for expressions of interest for the provision of anti-counterfeiting technology to support and protect its merchandising programme.

Suppliers are invited to submit a response to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire via e-mail to: [email protected]. The deadline is midday, 17 September 2007.

The PQQ is available for downloading at: www.london2012.com/get-involved/business-centre/anti-counterfeit-technology.php

LOCOG said that it is crucial that official London 2012 merchandise will be easily identifiable by the public, and they are therefore reassured of the quality, sourcing and use of any proceeds from the products they purchase. Where appropriate, all merchandise will be subject to anti-counterfeit tagging.

It is seeking to appoint a leading edge anti-counterfeit technology supplier who can demonstrate the ability to keep up to date with technological advances through to 2012. In addition the supplier must demonstrate they can support a large scale licensing programme such as that for London 2012.

Short listed applicants will be sent an Invitation To Tender (ITT) in the week commencing 24 September 2007.
